Stroud Preserve | Sat, September 14, 2019, 7:30pm - 9:00pm

Event is sold out. Please join us for another fun adventure outside.

The full moon closest to the autumnal equinox is known as the Harvest Moon. Learn some lunar lore as we hike the preserve. Afterwards, we’ll warm chilly fingers over a crackling fire while toasting s’mores. Please remember to bring a headlamp or flashlight with a red filter. (Some filters will be provided.)

7:30pm - 9:00pm

Stroud Preserve is a mosaic of once-pastured grasslands, working farmlands, and woodlands that serves as a unique site for recreation, education, and scientific research. Here, you can see the needs of people and nature in balance as careful stewardship of both cultivated and “wild” areas restores vital wildlife habitat while also protecting watersheds that provide drinking water for tens-of-thousands of people.

Participants should dress appropriately for the hike including sturdy shoes and rain jacket, if necessary.

Please leave your four-legged friends at home.

All participants should use the back entrance to Stroud located at 449 LUCKY HILL RD, WEST CHESTER, PA and follow Natural Lands’ yard signs to park behind the Stroud Barn. The drive is a mile-long stone lane. Please stay left at all forks and factor this into your arrival time.
