Members-Only Green Dogs, Green Ales
ChesLen Preserve | Sat, March 17, 2018, 10:00am - 12:00pm
On St. Patrick’s Day celebrate all things green with a guided hike along ChesLen’s scenic trails. You don’t need to be Irish to enjoy the greening of spring with friendly, four-legged friends (on leashes, of course).
This fun, casual event is exclusively for our Green Dog members and their families—including furry family members! We’ll enjoy ales and light treats after the hike (ginger ales for folks under 21, and just water for the pups).
ChesLen Preserve is the largest privately owned nature preserve open to the public in Chester County. Miles of marked hiking trails lead visitors through shady woodlands, flower-filled meadows, fields of corn and soybeans, and stream valleys.
Visitors can also explore Ollie Owl’s NaturePlayGround, where young explorers can climb logs, build stick tee-pees, hunt for bugs, explore small streams, and get a little dirty, tired, and inspired. Free play is encouraged and is a great way for kids to gain an appreciation for nature.
What to wear:
- Dress for the season and wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes
