There’s plenty of nature to explore in the city! Join Natural Lands Trust staff and volunteers on an urban adventure full of hands-on activities. We’ll examine the world of worms, crawl through a critter tunnel, think like a clever crow, and wander the waterfront in family-friendly fun.

The half-acre Pier 68, located at the end of Pier 70 Boulevard at the Delaware River, provides a place to relax and enjoy distinctive views of the city skyline, land to learn about tidal ecology of the Delaware River, and room for recreational fishing and public gathering.

In the last five years, Natural Lands Trust has worked with partners to preserve more than 420 acres in Philadelphia, helping to ensure open space access to urban residents and visitors. Explore our recently renovated Pier 68, which Natural Lands Trust acquired in 2012 working in partnership with the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation, and experience nature thriving in the city.

Event is free. Registration encouraged. Please complete and submit the secure, on-line registration form below to let us know you are coming, or call 610-353-5587 ext. 221.

Note that events may be cancelled due to inclement weather or low registration. In that case, we will make every effort to update our website and contact registrants.
