Dracula at Stoneleigh
Stoneleigh: A Natural Garden | Sat, October 26, 2019, 6:30pm - 8:00pm
Grab your blanket or lawn chair and settle in for this unique, open-air theater experience. Philadelphia master storyteller Josh Hitchens brings his acclaimed, one-man performance “Stoker’s Dracula” to Stoneleigh just in time for Halloween. Unlike other adaptations, this 75-minute solo tale of terror uses only Bram Stoker’s original text from journal entries, letters, and newspaper clippings.
Gates open at 5:30 pm, bring a picnic dinner to enjoy as the sun sets. Please bring cash for beer and wine. In case of rain, we will hold the event inside of the main house.
“A remarkable performance…that will leave your skin crawling, your spine tingling, and your blood curdled.” – Deb Miller, Phindie.com
For nearly 80 years, Stoneleigh was the home of the Haas family, which donated the property to Natural Lands in 2016 so that it would remain preserved forever.
The property includes stately trees, winding pathways, and lush gardens that were designed by a number of notable landscape architects over the past century—including the Olmsted Brothers, sons of the famed Frederick Law Olmsted.
