Pruning is something of a mystery to most people, and it can seem scary to the uninitiated. Stoneleigh Director Ethan Kauffman and Lead Horticulturist Jason Wirtz will demonstrate proper techniques to help you take care of your plants. Learn hands-on with standard pruning practices for common landscape plants that encourage healthy, beautiful specimens, as well as techniques that are beneficial to wildlife and our local environment.

For nearly 80 years, Stoneleigh was the home of the Haas family, which donated the property to Natural Lands in 2016 so that it would remain preserved forever.

The property includes stately trees, winding pathways, and lush gardens that were designed by a number of notable landscape architects over the past century—including the Olmsted Brothers, sons of the famed Frederick Law Olmsted.

Meet at the Welcome Kiosk. Gates open at 9:40 am.

All supplies provided.

Dress for the season and wear sturdy shoes.

Sorry, dogs are not permitted at Stoneleigh.
