Crow’s Nest: Meanwhile, in the kestrel box…

Volunteer Jim Moffett has rigged up a collapsible pole with a cell phone holder on the end, and he came over to Crow’s Nest to send the phone 18 feet aloft while shooting video to see what was going on in our kestrel box.

Alas, the photo above, a screenshot from that video, suggests that starlings are using the kestrel box. That, plus the starling I saw emerge from the box at a later time…
