a conservation dream come true

Crebilly Farm was one of the largest remaining unprotected open spaces in our region.

But that’s all changed—all thanks to more than 750 households—who contributed to our Save Crebilly Campaign, Natural Lands’ final step in a multi-year fundraising effort to preserve the entirety of Crebilly Farm.

In June 2023 we celebrated an important milestone when one-third of the property was permanently protected through conservation easements held by Natural Lands. With the October 31st completion of our Save Crebilly Campaign, sufficient funds have been raised to enable Westtown Township to purchase the remaining 206 acres that will become a passive-use park with walking trails through this stunning landscape. Settlement is set for December 2024.

While Westtown Township has indicated that their new park will not have the improvements necessary to open to the public for some time, when it opens, the oasis of green in this growing part of Chester County—with rustling meadows, rolling fields, meandering streams, and birds and wildlife—will be there for generations to experience first-hand, year-round, and free of charge.

It’s a conservation dream come true. And you—along with exceedingly generous public and private partners and the voters of Westtown Township—helped make it possible.

Our Natural Lands heart is bursting with appreciation. Thank you, thank you, thank you for being part of this stunning assemblage of supporters and model of conservation partnership and success!
