Connecting People to Nature

“In the end we will conserve only what we love. We will love only what we understand. We will understand only what we are taught.”  Baba Dioum

Chances are you remember when and where it happened for you – the creek you splashed in as a child on hot summer days…  the hawk you watched, enthralled, as it floated on the wind…  the wildflower you held in your hand, so impossibly complex and delicate.

For many of us, that moment of connection was when we first started to understand the endless delight of nature and the imperative of preserving it for future generations.

As the region’s largest private owner of preserved lands, Natural Lands Trust is committed to fostering moments of connection to nature. Through exploration of our preserves, fun and informative programs, volunteerism, and education, we seek to provide opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to be inspired by and learn from nature.
